Shannon Lee Bsc. Hons.RM. RGN.

I am the lead mid-wife for Kings Corner Surgery and form part of a dedicated team of four Midwives known as The Villages, with many years of experience looking after pregnant ladies and their babies. I hold a weekly clinic at the Surgery on a Monday morning and appointments should be booked with reception.

The Team of midwives and doctors at King’s Corner Surgery will be looking after you during your pregnancy.
Our midwives who are based at Frimley Park Hospital are members of The Villagers Team and can be contacted at the Community Midwife Office on 01276 604241.
There is a maternity unit film and check list available for you to view at:-

Our midwife would like to meet you to discuss your care in pregnancy and to take some detailed information about your medical history. At about 8-10 weeks into your pregnancy you should make what we call a BOOKING APPOINTMENT with the midwife. Prior to this appointment you should decide at which hospital you would like your baby delivered. Your choices are as follows:-

1. Frimley Park Hospital, Surrey
2. Wexham Park Hospital, Slough.
3. St Peters Hospital, Surrey.
4. The Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading.

The NHS offers screening for abnormalities through an ultra sound scan between 12-14 weeks and 20-22 weeks. These scans will be arranged at the hospital where you intend to give birth. During your pregnancy you will be seen regularly by the midwife or the GP as per the table below
