Due to ever increasing demands for appointments patients requesting “on the day” / Emergency Appointments will be added to a telephone triage list and the on call  Duty Doctor  will ring to discuss the problem and decide if an appointment is required. Reception staff will need to ask you for some details regarding the reason you require an appointment so the Doctor can prioritise which patient to call first.

All other appointments are bookable up to 10 days in advance.
Appointments with our nurses can be booked on the day or 14 days ahead.
It is not always necessary to see a Doctor as our Practice Nurses are very skilled and experienced and can deal with a large variety of problems, thus freeing up the Doctor's time.

The GPs do not have personal lists. However, patients are encouraged to keep to the same doctor or nurse for the follow up of a particular course of treatment. The practice aims to provide patients with an appointment with a GP within 48 hours.  However, it may not always be possible to arrange this with a doctor of your choice.

Most appointments are at ten minute intervals. Doctors and nurses endeavour to see patients close to their appointment times, however there are times when is not possible and we will do our best to keep you informed if there is a long delay. We would appreciate your patience and understanding at these times.

MISSED APPOINTMENTS WASTE VALUABLE NHS RESOURCES
Please inform us as soon as possible if you CANNOT make your appointment,
so that we are able to offer it to another patient
